Canyon Road Baptist Church

Mike Peter was born in Burlington, Colorado and has also lived in Kansas, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. He graduated High School in Bartlesville, OK where his father was Pastor of Silverlake Baptist Church. Mike went on to graduate from Oklahoma Baptist University with a BA in Religion. It was at OBU that he and Sheri met and married as they began serving out their Call to the Ministry. After completing their degrees at OBU, Mike began attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to work on his Masters of Religious Education. He and Sheri served 15 years in Youth Ministry with their daughters Rachael and Sarah. Besides being proud grandparents of four wonderful grandsons, they have also participated in short term mission work overseas every year since 1996 in 15 countries. They were called to Pastor “the church they love”, Canyon Road Baptist in 2001.
